FOXTROT INTERNATIONAL, ENERGY AT THE HEART OF DEVELOPMENT

FOXTROT International LDC (FOXTROT) is an offshore petroleum company, operator of the Joint Venture exploiting the CI-27 Block in Côte d’Ivoire. FOXTROT holds a 24% participating interest in the block, alongside Société Nationale d’Opérations Pétrolières de Côte d’Ivoire - PETROCI SA (40%), SECI SA (24%), and Energie de Côte d’Ivoire - ENERCI (12%).

It is currently the major producer of natural gas in Côte d’Ivoire and it has held this top ranking for over twenty years thanks primarily to the Foxtrot and Mahi fields, both of which are considered the most important gas fields in Côte d’Ivoire, and the recently discovered Marlin field. Foxtrot has proven a reliable partner for Côte d’Ivoire through ensuring a steady supply of natural gas to the domestic electricity Sector as fuel for the generation of electricity by the power plants of Azito, CIPREL, CIE and Aggreko, while also servicing the local requirements of gas of PETROCI and SIR.

FOXTROT provides about 70% of all the natural gas produced in Côte d’Ivoire through the CI-27 Block thanks to two processing platforms -Foxtrot (PFA) in operation since 1999, and Marlin (PFB), deployed in April 2015 within a few kilometers from the first platform-, together with a 300 kilometers network of pipelines. This new installation has resulted in a duplication of the capacity for processing hydrocarbons from the CI-27 Block, bearing in mind the operator’s overriding objective of ensuring a secured supply of natural gas to the ivorian electricity Sector.

FOXTROT and its joint venture partners are pressing ahead with the development of this block so strategic for the domestic economy, thanks to a drilling campaign initiated in 2015-2016 which seeks to increase the production of natural gas and oil in the new fields of Marlin and Manta.

In October 2015, FOXTROT announced the start up of production from the new Marlin-B1 well, the first development well out of the 5 wells initially drilled in the course of the drilling campaign.
